My Testimony
I've always believed in the Messiahship of Jesus since I was little. I followed the belief that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, and I considered myself as Christian. My mum would send me to sleep with the Lord's Prayer, snd through this I had it memorised. But I never understood what any of this really meant. I didnt read my Bible, or consider that Jesus suffered, which seems obvious from my current standing. But me then and me now are two entirely different people. The little me had my grandad, who I admired and honoured and loved with all my little heart. It wasn't until his death, I fully understood what it meant for Jesus to die on the cross.

My grandfathers death led me directly to my religion. Not because it made me fear the afterlife, or hope that my grandad went to a place of rest, but because my grandad left his family a message that love was the most important part of our existence, because it is what gives us salvation and peace. Like a love that goes beyond our nature, my grandad showed a love that was Divine during his final breaths, to his love, my Nanna. His final moments were spent in the love with her, until the clock turned 13:13 on the 22nd October 2019. 1 Corinthians 13:13 'Three things remain. Faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.' I read this at his funeral, because this was his final message. God showed love through my beloved grandfather. Love is beyond our nature, and is why we can live another day.

The death of Jesus
It was the nature of Jesus' Messiahship that led him to be crucified as a political criminal. He was not a man to be immediately glorified or loved, respected or admired. He suffered, faced rejection and died. Why did he do this? Jesus' suffering came from love, and this is a type of love that goes beyond our human understanding of the word. God's love, through Jesus, shows that it goes beyond our nature. Our nature limits us to ask why Jesus would sacrifice himself for sinners, and people that directly betray His word and teachings. We trust in a God that loves because he is love, he is the alpha.
